Schools
- Dominique Gravel - Ecological Interaction Networks
Dominique Gravel is a Full Professor at the Département de Biologie, Université de Sherbrooke. He studies the complex interactions between species distribution, community structure, and ecosystem functioning using theoretical models, simulations, and analytical methods. - Rex Ying - Machine Learning in Network Science
Rex Ying is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Yale University. His research focus includes algorithms for graph neural networks, geometric embeddings, explainable models, and more recently, multi-modal foundation models involving relational reasoning. - Mark Newman - Probability Generating Functions and Message Passing in Network Science
Mark Newman is the Anatol Rapoport Distinguished University Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics and Center for the Study of Complex Systems, University of Michigan, as well as an External Faculty at the Santa Fe Institute. His group conducts research on the structure and function of networks, particularly social and information networks, using a combination of empirical methods, analysis, and computer simulation.
- Tiago Peixoto, Tamás Nepusz, and Matt Schwennesen - Tutorial on Cross-Package Network Analysis
The Network Analysis Software Collective (NASCol) was recently launched as a collaboration of prominent network analysis software projects to promote cooperation and help make network science software sustainable in the long term. This hands-on school session will be led by Tiago Peixoto (graph-tool), Tamás Nepusz (igraph), and Matt Schwennesen (networkx).
